YMCA volunteer center keeps doing important things on rapid humanitarian response. For the last three weeks our volunteers packed and delivered humanitarian aid from YMCA Berlin and private helpers from Poland. As a volunteer team they are providing the basic needs for the locally dispalced persons in Lviv from north, south and center of Ukraine and also helping people still staying in the hot war spots. YMCA compiled, packaged and dispatched the basic packges of medicines, food, clothes, utensils and hygiene products to most needy families, majorily mothers with children. From Lviv YMCA has dispatched the essentials by post to Kremenchuk, Kropyvnytskyi, Zdolbuniv, Zaporizhia, Odessa and Poltava. At the same time they try to transport aid by own vehicles to the active war zone. “Sometimes we use our own bus. Recently we drived stuff to Bilogorodka and Kyiv to bring food and goods there, and evacuate people back to the western area… Now we are awaiting more aid from Spain and Ireland”, says Vitaliy.
